Rooms
Tucked away in the seclusion of the Cardamom Mountains region, in the richest virgin rainforest of Southeast Asia, Mother Nature quietly beckons you to explore its wonders.
At Canvas & Orchids Retreat you can stay in a floating tented villa or in more family-friendly island tents. We can currently accommodate 36 people and soon up to 46 people at our Cambodian glamping resort.
You will wake up to panoramic views of the river and forest as you lay snuggled in bed.
Take a refreshing dip in the Tatai River. Then, as the day draws to a close, lounge on your private balcony with a drink from the minibar as you watch the glorious sunset.
Alternatively, pamper yourself with a hot bath or shower after a tiring day of trekking, then catch up on your favourite movie on DVD or Netflix
Floating Tented Villas
Our huge, African-inspired safari tents are built on a pontoon. They were the first floating tents in the world and a unique glamping destination.
With lush carpets and large ventilated windows, each 45 sqm spacious tent comes fully equipped with modern amenities.
Local materials are used in our handcrafted furniture. Everything in our tents is carefully designed with the aim of protecting the environment and sustaining the region’s natural resources. From toothbrushes to a clever wastewater treatment system everything helps half our carbon footprint.
Island Family Tents
Our island family tents are situated on the riverbank in a lush garden, some 5-10 meters from the water. At 65sqm, they are a more spacious and child-friendly version of the floating tents.
The spacious tented rooms are well ventillated. The two bedrooms are separated by a wall and curtain door, with a large en-suite brick-and-mortar- bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The same as our floating tents, each island tent comes equipped with all modern amenities and eco-friendly furniture, which goes a long way to half our carbon footprint.
While in the floating tents children are considered as additional persons, they will stay for free in the Family tents.
Our Rates
Our rates vary depending on room type, occupancy and season. Our peak season is November to March. Our mid-season is in April, July, August and October. The low season months are May, June and September.
Children have a 30% discount on the accommodation in the floating tents and they will stay for free in the Family tents. Food is equally discounted by 30% for kids under 12 years old.
There is a compulsory festive dinner on the evening of December 24 and on the evening of December 31.

The prices are per tent and are valid for direct online bookings. A deposit payment is required to confirm your bookings. Price includes accommodation, breakfast, regular boat transfer from embarkation port and resort for check-in and check-out. Not included: personal travel insurance, activities and additional meals.
